She was born Connie Falconeri in Bensonhurt, New York where she grew up. She nearly ran off to elope with Sonny Corinthos, but decided she wanted more from life and ran away on her own. She changed her name to Kate Howard, built a new background for herself and rose through the ranks of the cutthroat world of fashion and journalism to become a fashion icon and editor of Couture. Life was perfect.
Until she accidentally ran into Sonny Corinthos, her first love, and he realized who she was.
